City of Villains

» City of Villains and City of Heroes
is a MMO in which you choose to be either a Hero or Villain. You get both games for the one download. You can save damsels or rob banks, the choice is yours. You can make your fortune on the market, or explore the world to earn badges and so much more.

Don't let the fact it's an MMO put you off, it doesn't have the same grind as other MMO's and the updated content is FREE. You get rewards every three months for staying with the game through the Veteran Program.

Since Going Rogue, you have to start in Praetoria. Don't let this zone put you off. Most people don't start there now because it is a much tougher area. If you can get a non-GR install do so, get a character to 20 then upgrade to GR. Trust me; it's a lot less pain.

I would recommend Villains (redside) initially because the zones are smaller. I would also suggest not getting into Architect Entertainment. Play the story contacts, you WILL be better off! A good starting character is a brute/tank or stalker/scrapper. They are very self-sufficient.

I have put some useful PDFs and stuff for download available. Some I've found, some I've made myself.

Enhancements
These slot into your powers. There are different sorts; you will start with Training then move to either Double Origin, Single Origin or Inventions. Inventions can be plain or part of a set which give additional bonuses. Don't worry if that sounds complex it can be as simple as you want.
